In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we are excited to celebrate the Mataala Samoan dance group for their recent success at a competition held at Pacific Lutheran University.

The Superintendent’s Student Leadership Council recently led discussions with the School Board on staff diversity and the need for more multicultural programs and interpreters. They also brought practical solutions to the table, requesting updates to the advisory curriculum to include "real-life skills" like financial literacy. 

By bringing stories into the sunlight, this librarian is ensuring that her students don't just learn to read, but learn to love the experience of getting lost in a great book.

Spanaway Lake High School athletes had a record-breaking weekend at the Eason Invite. Dwight Ballard set a new school record and a new state best in the 100m with a time of 10.51.
